Kathy Black to discuss the impact of construction cost, government policies and more on development at the Vancouver Real Estate Forum

On April 15, as a panellist in the A cross-section of development session of the 2021 Vancouver Real Estate Forum, Kathy Black, Vice President, Development, will be discussing the impact of construction cost, government policies, and how the pandemic has impacted design.

This session will explore projects that have successfully gone through the development process as joint ventures, mixed-use, transit oriented, and more complex development. Listen to the panellists examine both larger scale suburban development, inner city projects and activity in the Lower Mainland, and answer questions like: How are viable projects going forward given land constraints and construction costs? What are other constraints to development and how can you overcome them? To what extent has COVID-19 resulted in modifications to project designs, amenities, or other features?
