Peter McFarlane

As Senior Vice President, Investment Management Operations, Peter is responsible for the investment, development, asset management and leasing teams across the Fiera Real Estate (“FRE”) Canadian business. These teams service the Canadian funds of Fiera Real Estate ensuring best in class performance, execution, risk mitigation, and value optimization.

Peter joined FRE in 2016 and has been responsible for successfully building and overseeing the asset management team which was responsible for the operations, execution, and value creation across the Canadian platform. Peter has been instrumental in driving performance and development of numerous systems and platform solutions for the business.

Prior to Fiera Peter was Vice President, Asset Management at a leading global real estate firm, where he worked alongside a team responsible for office, industrial, multi-residential, and retail properties across Canada. His role also included management of problematic properties, fund and property dispositions, and development of new investment vehicles. His previous experience also includes various real estate roles in investment, leasing, asset management and development positions at a global financial institution and national developer.  Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Environment from McGill University.

In his spare time, Peter is active in professional and community circles. In 1998, he founded Schools Without Borders.
