$17,350 raised for Movember
For the second year in a row, members of the Fiera Real Estate team have donned moustaches or a colourful strand of hair for the month of “Movember” in order to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. Last year we successfully raised over $7,000 for the cause and aimed to outperform that target this year.
Thanks to the efforts of the team and the support from friends, family, and industry contacts, we successfully blew our $7,500 target out of the water and raised a grand total of $17,350 for the cause!
This charity funds groundbreaking projects all over the world and aims to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by 2030. In addition to critical biomedical research, Movember works with global men’s health partners to break new ground by bringing together seasoned experts from countries from around the world to work together to find solutions that will fundamentally change the way people are treated and supported.
Moustaches in Movember are fun, but the health risks to men everywhere are real and the contributions that have been made are crucial to the fight against them.
Peter Cuthbert, President and Head of Global Real Estate, commented: “We at Fiera Real Estate strongly encourage our people to get involved with charitable causes and directly support them in their endeavours. Our Movember effort was championed by David MacDonald from our asset management team and is just one example of our collective charitable efforts. I am always blown away by the enthusiasm and energy of our terrific team here at Fiera Real Estate and would like to congratulate everyone who participated in this campaign.”
On behalf of the FRE the Mo team, and everyone affected by these real challenges to men’s health, thank you.
