Most Zero Carbon Building Certified Industrial Space in Canada
Fiera Real Estate is proud to announce that five of the firm’s assets have achieved the Zero Carbon Building (“ZCB”) certification – establishing FRE as the landlord with the most certified industrial space and the largest certified industrial asset in Canada.
In addition to FRE’s Net-Zero Carbon (“NZC”) commitments under the Net Zero Asset Manager’s Initiative and the 2040 NZC target set by FRE’s CORE and Industrial Fund on February 16, 2023, the firm has pursued and achieved the industry leading ZCB certification (performance standard) at five of the firm’s properties. The Canada Green Building Council (“CaGBC”) awarded the certification to four properties in Ontario (450 March Road, Ottawa; 2655 Bristol Circle, Oakville; 3500 Steeles Avenue East, Markham; 4087 Harvester Road, Burlington) and one property in Alberta (6510 20th Street NW, Edmonton).
To date, FRE’s portfolio contains the most certified industrial square footage, as well as the largest industrial site (6510 20th Street NW), under this designation in Canada.
